Great drinks and awesome service, they even had fresh coffee at 1 am would definitely recommend stopping in if your not into the the crowded bars of T town
It's a great place for locals and college crowd to mix. Much more relaxed then your typical bar near campus. Arcade and pinball games are great. Smoking areas out back and in the front. Booths are comfortable for a group. Bartenders are fast, and friendly.

Alcove has quickly become one of our favorite bars in Tuscaloosa. Leah is always very welcoming behind the bar, and free play pinball on Wednesdays is always a great time. The beer selection is top notch, and their cocktails are just as good. It’s also one of the most affordable bars in the downtown area. Highly recommend!
Update January 28, 2022: The Alcove now has a pinball arcade room! Such a surprise and so fun. There is even a Ms. Pac Man. Great beer selection, super nice bartender (Rebecca), and as always nice clean cool interior with an international feel. You can actually talk and conduct business here, like in a real Irish Pub. Although the sound system is excellent (fun music mix), and there are several tvs great for sporting events-- no house electronics beat you up or keep you from having conversations. Highly recommend!
I absolutely LOVE Alcove. It's the only place I go consistently. All of the bartenders and barbacks are amazing. It's more than just about drinking. It's a safe and welcoming place.
Great dive bar. Good seating options - bar, booths, outside. Great liquor selection (E.g. Gray Whale Gin). Bartenders are fun and funky.
